Following the succesful Sussex Schools Championships last Saturday, there is more information available today for athletes selected for the Inter Counties event and a reminder for those who have achieved the Entry Standard for the English Schools Championships or who may do so in the next few days.
The Inter Counties event is to be held next Saturday, 18th June, at David Weir Leisure Centre, Carshalton. The timetable and details about parking are now available on the Schools Championships page of this website. Other details were provided in the letters handed ut at the County event last Saturday.
Today, Monday, is also the day of the selection meeting for the team to represent Sussex at the English Schools Championships. All athletes at Schools within the County, who have achieved the Entry Standard, are reminded that they need to register on the ESAA website. If you have not already registered, please do so today so that we have your details, and if selected, it will ensure that your name is spelled correctly in event programmes, on tee-shirts, in results, and in the press. If you registered last year, you still need to re-register – we don’t store your information from one year to the next.
A small number of places for the English Schools may be kept open until next weekend, so if you do achieve an Entry Standard in that time please also enter your details with ESAA and inform the Team Manager BY EMAIL. No late entries can be accepted after next Monday.
