SUSSEX AA TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026

Held Under UKA RULES
Date: Sat 9th & Sun 10th May
Venue: K2, Crawley, RH11 9BQ.

The 2026 Sussex Track & Field Championships are taking place at the K2, Crawley, across the weekend of May 9th and May 10th.

FINAL TIMETABLE HERE

We actively encourage any support at the Championships, particularly spectators, so please encourage your friends and family to come and watch (Admission £3 Adults/ competing athletes and Under 16s are free).

Please note that parking at the K2 is very restricted. Alternative car parks are being provided. On top of this please be aware due to other events taking place in the Crawley area on the Sunday (May 10th) there will be some road closures. Click Run-Gatwick-Road-Closure-Map_website.pdf for more info.  We strongly recommend checking these and allowing extra time to accommodate this.

The alternative car parks are:

  • Thomas Bennett School, RH10 5AD. You should allow time to find suitable parking and walk across to the centre. Entry to the event should then be made through the centre from the front entrance (not through the gate at the side of the pathway).
  • MUGA (located near the netball courts at the further end of the K2 carpark).
  • Crawley Town Football Club.

Please look at the information carefully to see the time of your event and whether your track event has heats and finals. Any changes to timings will be updated directly to the app, so do re-check right up to the day of the competition.

Key Information

  • Athletes must report to collect numbers from the Registration Table (located at the top of the stairs near the finish line) at least 1 hour before their first event is due to start. This allows time for arranging heats and warmups. If competing on the track on both the Saturday and Sunday, please return to the registration area (again an hour before) to sign in again on the Sunday. If you do not do this you will not be seeded in and will then not be allowed to compete in the races on the Sunday. Athletes will be seeded based on PBs logged on Roster.
  • Numbers must be securely fastened on front and back and must not be cut, folded or mutilated in any way. If competing on both days please retain your numbers. You may be refused to compete if you do not retain your numbers.
  • On the track, if there are not enough competitors on the day for scheduled heats the final will be run at the heat time.
  • Medal presentation will take place near the finish line.
  • Start lists and results can be found on the Roster app. Paper results will also be available across the weekend.
  • Competitors must wear club/school vests/county/ England or GB vests
  • Max spike length: 6mm
  • Hoodies/Sweatshirts/Tees/Training Tops – Pre-orders can be collected at the top of the stairs near the finish line. More are available to buy on the day. Cash and cards accepted.
  • No Dogs allowed in the stadium.
  • Any Track athlete withdrawing from a Final having qualified from a Heat/Semi-Final, MUST advise the Track Referee and Seeding Table. Athletes are reminded that withdrawal from an event having qualified for a further round/Final will mean that the athlete concerned cannot compete in any further events (Track or Field) over the weekend.
  • Competitors may not warm up on the infield.
  • Competitors who are accompanied or are coached within the Competition Arena during an event are liable to disqualification without further warning.
  • Field event competitors should report to their area of competition no later than 15 minutes prior to their event. Competitors will be allowed three (3) trials, with a further three trials for the leading six competitors. Those not present for a trial will forfeit that round.

Spectators and Competitors who wish to use a camera at the Championships must register before use, at the Registration area.
