Sussex Schools Cross-country (Prov)

The following are provisional results from the Sussex Schools, Brighton Marathon, Cross-country championships which were held at Waterhall, Brighton on Wednesday.

Conditions were uncomfortable and tributes need to be paid to the officials as well as course markers and marshals who cannot dash away to the comfort of the School bus when their stint is complete.

Thanks are due to everyone who was involved in the organisation of the event.

Senior Boys:

Tomer Tarragano – BHASVIC = 1st

George Pool – Eastbourne Col = 2nd

Leo Brewer – Brighton Col = 3rd

Teams: BHASVIC – 51 = 1st Collyers – 57 = 2nd Bishop Luffa – 59 = 3rd

Inter Girls:

Beth Cook – Roedean Moira House = 1st

Milly Dickinson – Kings School = 2nd

Lois Dooley – Shoreham Academy = 3rd

Teams: Burgess Hill Girls – 113 = 1st Brighton Col – 114 = 2nd Kings School – 119 = 3rd

Inter Boys:

Isaac Elam – Hastings Academy = 1st

Tom James – Hazelwick = 2nd

Callum Stone – Sackville = 3rd

Teams: Dorothy Stringer – 106 = 1st Battle Abbey – 135 = 2nd Brighton Col – 145 = 3rd

Junior Girls:

Eleanor Strevens – Claremont = 1st

Eadie Yelling – Varndean = 2nd

Amelia Cox – Hazelwick = 3rd

Teams: Hurst Col – 74 = 1st Cardinal Newman Catholic School – 108 = 2nd Brighton Col – 136 = 3rd

Junior Boys:

Nick Hollan-Ellidge – Hazelwick = 1st

Henry Yelling – Varndean = 2nd

Ben Connolly – Dorothy Stringer = 3rd

Teams: Cardinal Newman Catholic School  – 83 = 1st Dorothy Stringer – 89 = 2nd Lewes Priory – 116 = 3rd
