It is a busy few weeks for teachers involved with the Sussex Schools AA as they prepare for the highlight of the winter season, the English Schools Cross Country Championships to be held at Wollaton Park, Nottingham on 5 March. The teams to represent the County at this event have now been selected and are listed on the ‘Championships' page.
Last week saw the organisation of the years 7 & 8 cross country races at Christ’s Hospital, with over 500 taking part in the four races. The results have been posted today on the results page and also for a short time on the ‘Championships’ page as a number of names were not submitted after the races. If anyone can assist in completing the results an email address is provided.
Also, it is only a couple of weeks since Sussex hosted the successful south east schools inter counties championship races at Bexhill on a very windy but thankfully rain free day. Thanks are due to Hastings AC for arranging the course at Bexhill, and to the race officials from Sussex Athletics who controlled the start and finish at both events held in the County and the County Championships earlier in the year. Thanks also to the staff and sports leaders from Christ’s Hospital School for their excellent course and arrangements last week.
