The runners are in for a rude awakening when they race in the second of this season’s Sussex Cross-country League event.
Originally scheduled for Plumpton this race has been switched to Bexhill following problems with the Plumpton course.
After an almost balmy Autumn a trip to Bexhill will set the athletes up for the forthcoming battles and real cross country conditions.
Bexhill is the muddiest course in Sussex but at this time or the year it could still be just sticky and the overnight several degree drop in temperatures are likely to be noted more by the officials than the athletes.
The U11 race at 12.00 precedes the League events which commence at 12.13 with the U13 Girl’s race.
The afternoon ends with the Men’s Senior/U20/Masters race at 2.35 and by that time the underfoot conditions should be pretty muddy.
