Following her fine run in Liverpool last weekend, when she finished fifth in the junior race, Grace Baker from Hastings, has been selected to run for the Great Britain Junior team in the European Cross-country championships.
This year the championships are being held at Hyeres on the French Riviera on the 13th of this month.
This weekend sees the third of this season’s Sussex Cross-country League events at Lancing Manor starting with Under 13 girls race at 12.30 though it will be preceded by a race for U11s at 12.00.
Just three winners from the first race at Goodwood repeated their victories on a windy afternoon at Bexhill but can those three, Luke Ellard (Worthing) U13, Ben Collins (Chichester) U15 and Emma Macready (Worthing) senior women notch up their third victories this season.
If so they will win the League titles with another race to come in the New Year.
