Top Selection For Brighton & Hove’s Mini Milers

1 October, 2021 By Kate Matthews

Good luck to Sussex athletes, Julieana Walsh and Saul Bennett, who will be competing for the Under-13 South East Mini London Marathon Team 2021 on Sunday.
Both Julieana and Saul, who are members of Brighton & Hove AC, have had a great track season this year competing at events across the South East.
This year’s race is on Sunday 3 October. Athletes were selected from the top six in the South East (Bucks/Berks/Surrey/Oxon/Kent/Hants/Sussex) by rankings in the 1,500 and 3,000 metres.
The Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon continues to be a world-class youth race, helping shape the careers of many talented athletes with bright futures.
Participants hail from all corners of the UK. There are eight English teams, three home nation teams from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, plus runners from all 33 London boroughs.
The races will place before the main marathon, starting on the Embankment, and will follow the last 2.6km of the famous London Marathon course, ending at the iconic finishing point on the Mall.
