The accent is very much on Inter-county competition this weekend with the C.A.U championships at Bedford and the South East Under 13 Match at Kingsmeadow.
The Under 13 match has been switched from its usual Sunday date to Saturday to avoid the London/Surrey cycling race which caused so much travel problems last year.
The Counties Athletic Union championships are being incorporated with the English Championships and as such athletes no longer need to be selected to represent the County.
Athletes have to achieve a certain standard to enter the English championships and then they only need to record their County to be included in the C.A.U event.
This event will be held on both Saturday and Sunday.

Full team details from last weekend Upper Age group matches have not yet been published but it is known the Crawley finished sixth in their Premier One match at Allainz Park which could mean they will be competing in Premier Two next season.
Brighton & Hove won their home match in Division One B with Chichester in fourth place.
In Division One C at Croydon where the home team won with 678 points and a fine battle for the minor placings saw Horsham Blue Star edge second place with 446 and Team Sussex(Eastbourne, East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Lewes) took third place with 423 points

Amber Anning is now home from the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas with two medals.
After taking bronze in the 400m Anning took the second leg in the mixed 4 x 400m relay team that achieved a silver medal behind Australia.
