The postponement of the Sussex Cross Country Relays at Goodwood on Saturday, the Relays will be held on 13th October, has left many Sussex athletes with an unexpected free Saturday.
For those seeking to run a little further than the 3/4km relay legs can however look to the annual Barns Green half-marathon which has again moved forward from its traditional October date.
There is also a 10km race at Barns Green.
This year Barns Green also incorporates the Sussex Half Marathon championship and the Half-marathon race will start at 10.00.
On Saturday the Sussex 10,000m track walking championhip will be held at Broadbridge Heath starting at 11.00.
.The race had originally been scheduled for March but had to be cancelled because of the "Beast from the East".
