Team battles from Bexhill

24 November, 2015 By Sussex AA

In contrast to the individual winners at Bexhill on Saturday, where we saw mainly different winners from last month’s first league match, the team winners were mainly, six to four, the same as Goodwood.

In the men’s races only in the U17 group was there a change and here Horsham Blue Star turned the tables on Chichester scoring 22 points to 30 with Brighton & Hove third with 40 points.

Brighton & Hove repeated the Senior and Veterans team victories scoring 68 points to 96 for Lewes and 201 for Crawley in the senior event while in the Veterans they totalled 9 points with Lewes again in second place with 23 and Brighton Phoenix third with 25 points.

Chichester retained the U15 event with 18 points to Brighton & Hove’s 24 and 31 for Lewes with Hastings again winning the U13 team race from Lewes on 23 and Brighton & Hove 30.

In the women’s races Arena 80 were again victorious in the Veterans team event with 27 points to Hailsham’s 40 and Lewes on 42.

Chichester also repeated their U17 victory from Goodwood with 9 points to Hastings 19 and Crawley 26.

In the Senior Women’s race Worthing with 44 and Chichester 50 turned the tables on Goodwood winners Lewes who scored 62 points while the under 15s saw Brighton Phoenix clear winners with 13 points to Brighton & Hove’s 31 and 41 for Hastings and Brighton & Hove won the U13s with 19 points to Phoenix’s 22 and Hastings total of 30.

Working out the team results was particularly difficult at this match because some athletes did not wear the number they were allocated.

Athletes are reminded that they could be subject to disqualification if they do not wear their allocated number.
