Sussex Mental Health and Running Workshop

3 October, 2018 By Sussex AA

Following on from Mental Health awareness week (check www.RunandTalk.co.uk) for local run and talks, there are still places on the Sussex Mental Health and Running workshop aimed at run leaders, coaches or anyone interested. Please sign up asap to reserve your place. The workshop, aimed at promoting good mental health and how running can help, will take place on Saturday 20th October, 1 – 4pm, at Broadfield Primary Academy, Vulcan Close, Crawley RH11 9PD. What does good mental health mean? What sort of mental health issues might our runners have? How can running help. Hear from Gavin Atkins, Head of Community Services at Mind. Listen to individual runners talk about their experiences. Practical examples from run leaders on successful initiatives they have been involved with, such as #runandtalk and beginner running courses targeting specific groups, and so on. Networking - time to talk - what happens next? Plenty of parking. Refreshments. We ask for a donation of £10 on the day which will be put towards future workshops. To reserve your place, sign up here: https://doodle.com/poll/3gx34m5m9wpfvqn2 Note: Please add your email address next to your name when you sign up. Any concerns, email Marion: marionhemsworth@aol.com This workshop is funded by Sussex Athletics.
