Sussex League at Stanmer and Parking

29 November, 2018 By Sussex AA

The second of this season’s Sussex Cross-country League races has now switched to Stanmer Park following the withdrawal of facilities at Lancing Manor because of ground conditions.

Parking is not available in the Park apart from Officials but is available at Bennetts Car Park, the Amex Stadium, Brighton BN1 9BL.

Note - this is different to the car park used at the first XC meeting and is accessed from the Amex Stadium.

Please allow 15 minutes to walk from the car park to Stanmer itself. From the car park, keep to the right, passing the East stand. Walk down and cross the railway bridge. Turn left under the tunnel, take another left at the end of the tunnel and walk down to Stanmer Park. Entrance on the right.

The time table is the same with the Under 11 races starting at 12.00 and the League Races starting at 12.20 while the senior/U20 men’s race ending the afternoon’s programme at 2.35.

At the moment there is not any positive news about a possible for fourth league race that season so if you have any pretence about a League placing you will need to compete on Saturday.

Conditions, as would be expected in December is likely to be a little more testing than the first League match earlier in November.
