Sussex League at Lancing

30 November, 2017 By Sussex AA

With a little luck it will be dry and crisp at Lancing Manor on Saturday for the third of this season’s Sussex Cross-country League fixtures.

Parking is difficult at all Sussex venues, apart from Goodwood but Maureen Stephens has made provision at the Lancing venue and she has issued the following notice.

NO PARKING FOR  X/COUNTRY AT IMPULSE LEISURE CENTRE, LANCING MANOR.

Parking is available at North Lancing School, Mill Rd BN15 0PT

(approx. 400m from The Manor ground)

Additional parking is available in surrounding residential areas with

careful consideration to private driveways.

It is extremely important that everyone visiting for the X/C meeting abides by this advice.

Car Park signage will be displayed.

As usual the League races start with the Under 13 Girls event at 12.30 followed by the Boys fifteen minutes later, the Under 15 Girls at 13.00 and the Boys at 13.20. Under 17 Boys at 13.40.

The balance of the Women’s age group start at 14.05 and the Men complete the afternoon at 14.35.

Before the League races there will be races for Under 11s starting at 12 noon.

There are four athletes who have proved unbeaten in the age groups so far this season and if they can win again on Saturday they will become League Champions for this season.

They are Nick Hallam-Ellidge from Crawley in the U13 boys group, Beth Cook (Bodyworks) U15 Girls and Brighton & Hove’s Tom Eames in the U15 and Jamie Knapp in the Senior men groups.
