The Cross Country season gets underway properly this weekend as far as Sussex is concerned when the first of this season’s Sussex Cross-country League races are held on the Downs at Goodwood.
With entries on the day we cannot foresee who is going to compete though by and large most of the leading Sussex Young athletes are expected to compete but not necessarily seniors.
Some seniors will be back at College, some may be competing in a road race tomorrow and some will even consider that they prefer a training session.
The Under 13 Girls start the afternoon’s racing at 12.30 followed by the Boys and the U15 and U17 events with the Senior/U17 women due off at 2.05 and the Senior men completing the afternoon at 2.35.
Prior to the League races there will be a fun run for U11 Boys and Girls at 12.00.
