Sub 1:50 800m at Withdean?

11 May, 2015 By Sussex AA

The annual Brighton Phoenix Open meeting at Withdean on Wednesday evening hopes to produce many personal bests, particularly, in the “B.M.C 800 metre races”.

Included in the “A” race will be both Robbie Fitzgibbon and Spencer Thomas, who have both been selected to run for the Great Britain in the Loughborough International meeting on Sunday.
All these races are paced, to produce fast times, and Thomas, who clocked 1:50.89s indoors back in February it aiming to crack 1:50.

Luca Russo and George Duggan from Tonbridge who are both sub 1:53 performers, fellow Phoenix runner Archie Davis who is currently the top British U17 runner and 400 metre specialist Finley Bigg, who is stepping up a distance will all help to push the pace after the pace maker has done his job.

The meeting will start at 5.00 with 800m races for nine year olds.
