Horsham Blue Star athletes Seb Wallace and Cleo Tomlinson travelled to Sportcity in Manchester last Sunday to take part in the UK Sportshall Finals.
The young athletes had qualified as individuals for being the leading competitors in Standing Triple Jump from the eight regional Sportshall finals.
Both rose to the challenge and Seb took gold with a leap of 7.93m in the Under 13 boys' competition. In the girls' equivalent Cleo jumped a new personal best of 7.17m and was beaten into second place by a mere four centimetres.
On the Saturday, Brighton's Amber Anning - last year's All-Rounder Champion - was on hand to encourage athletes and present medals in her final outing as the UK Sportshall Ambassador.
