Full results are still not published for last weekend’s Southern Athletics League but there were  three Sussex team wins and several Man/Woman of the match awards.

In Division One Crawley were at home and were convincing winners with Samuel Heawood the Man of the Match for his fine shot putt of 15.94m.

In the current league table, after two matches, Crawley are placed fifth, just one point behind the leaders Norwich, with seven points.

In Division two Eastbourne Rovers had a good home victory and are second in the League on seven points behind Ipswich

Division three South West at Broadbridge Heath saw Brighton & Hove notch up their second victory with Stephen Ferroni taking the Man of the Match award for a fine 3,000m victory from club mate Tom Niner clocking 8:44.4s to 8:47.1s.

Full results are not in for this Division and there is not a current League table.

In the same Division Horsham Blue Star finished third in their home match while Chichester were second at Poole.

There is not a current League position in Division three South East either but East Grinstead finished second at Wimbledon and Haywards Heath/Lewes finished third at Erith.

It was at Erith that Jack Harris (Lewes) took the Man of the Match award for a 4.20m clearance in the pole vault.

Hastings all-rounder Elise Lovell, who now competes for Havant won her Woman of the Match award at Broadbridge Heath with a nippy 14.5s clocking in the 100m hurdles.

Teams from Worthing and Hasting also compete in Division three but their results have not been published as yet.
