If you are looking for athletic competition this weekend then it is off to the K2 Leisure centre at Crawley on Sunday to get your fix.
The second of this season’s Early Season meetings this meeting is usually held on Easter Sunday but, because of the early Easter this year, it is a week late but is still known at the Crawley Easter Open.
As opposed to the March meeting, where track distances were at non-standard distance Sunday’s meeting will be held over standard distances and the track events will start with the 400 and 300m hurdles at 11.00 while the Hammer throwing will open the field events at 10.30.
The promise of bright and warmer weather than the March meeting entries are expected to be high particularly as we have lost the bitter North East wind that made life so uncomfortable two weeks back.
