More CBP’s on Day 2 of the Indoor Championships

18 February, 2018 By Sussex AA

On this second day of the Sussex Indoor Championships, held with the Surrey event at Sutton, four more Championship Best's were set.

The five recorded yesterday were all by men, but today the women had equal honours with both coming in the under 17 age group. First up was Millie Noyce (Crawley) who shattered the previous shot mark of 11.01 with a put of 12.65. In the hurdles her club-mate Katie Bristowe took 3 tenths off the old record when she crossed the line in 8.99 seconds.

In the men's events Joe Morris (Eastbourne), who had failed to record a height in the pole vault on day one, fared better in the shot with a put of 12.10 to enter the list of CBP's whilst it was his club-mate Bailey Wright who took the fourth champs best in the under 20 60m in 6.99sec.

Full results will be displayed on the Results tab as they become available in the next couple of days. Meanwhile thanks to all who participated in the weekend whether as athletes, officials or supporters.
