There will be a Memorial Service for May Langmaid, who died just before Christmas.
The service is being held at 2pm on Friday, February 25, at The Chapel, St George's Park, Ditching Common, Burgess Hill, RH15 0SF.
May, who was in her mid-eighties, was a field event official at many County championships. She also managed the Sussex Women’s track team a few times but was mainly involved with her husband Mike, who died in 2016, in running the Hove Athletic Club before its merger with Brighton Athletic Club in 1966.
She was however much more than just support to her husband and was, with the late Elaine Carter the major fundraiser for the Brighton & Hove Club for many years and became Club president in 1984-86 and was a Life member.
Parking will be available at the Memorial Service as well as afternoon. All welcome.
