Lovell moves to second on All Time List

Elise Lovell from Hastings had a brilliant series of performances in Division One of the European Cup Super League Combined Events match at Aubagne in France at the weekend.

In extreme heat (high 30s) without any wind whatsoever Elise Lovell became the fifth member of the Sussex sub 14 hurdles club with 13.98 in her heat.

She followed with 1.60 High Jump and 10.09 Shot before finishing the day by winning the first heat of the 200 from lane 8 in a dominant 24.58 ....smashing her pb by almost half a second.
At the end of the first day she had bettered her previous best, first day, total by 100 points.

On Day two Lovell leapt 5.71m in the long threw the javelin 30.83m and clocked 2:20.7s in the 800 metres to amass a total of 5,255 points to squeeze ahead of training companion Leanne Buxton to move into second plea on the Sussex All Time List.

She was the second British athlete to finish in 21st place overall while Crawley’s Surrey athlete Jo Rowland scored 5208 points in 24 place having achieved. 15,38s, 1.66m, 12.06m, 25.91, 5.52s, 38.58m and 2:22.42s.
