Crawley AC all-rounder Adam Lindo (Downlands School) will be representing the English Schools team at the British Schools Combined Events International in Glasgow this weekend.
Lindo has had a sparkling season. In July he won the English Schools Junior Boys Long Jump title after an individual and team victory at the South-East Schools Regional Combined Events Championships.
He subsequently led the Sussex Junior Boys team of Spike Gleave, Tom Ridley and Seb Wallace to the top of the podium at the ESAA Combined Events Finals at Boston in September. Lindo's fourth place in this competition earned him automatic selection for the Schools International.
Sussex League
The second of this season’s Sussex Cross-Country League matches will be held at Bexhill Down on Saturday. It is the first of two major Sussex events over this testing course this winter.
The unusually dry autumn weather has given way to the normal November rain and the ground is likely to be muddy and slippy.
There will be a non-scoring Under 11 Girls and Boys race at midday before the Under 13 Girls open the League fixture at 12.30. The Senior Men will contest the final race at 14:35. .
