Good Entries for Cross-country Relays

29 September, 2016 By Sussex AA

It is off to Glorious Goodwood this weekend for the Sussex athletes where the Chichester Cross Country Relays are being held on Saturday. The races also incorporate the Sussex Relay championships.

Although the senior races do not always attract the cream of Sussex athletes the Young athletes are always well supported and so it is this year with excellent entries for the Under 13s and 15s races and numbers pretty good

 in the Senior/Veterans races.

The Under 13s open the racing at 12.00 noon while the Under 15s follow at 12.45, the senior women start at 1.30 and the senior men at 2.30.

The U 17s and Veterans races are incorporated into the senior events.

On Sunday morning the annual Lewes 10-mile Multi Terrain race  will be held from the Motor Road to Lewes Race Course at 10.45 and this will be preceded by a 5-mile Fun run at 10.30.

Also on Sunday the tough “Jog Shop Jog” will start at Brighton Marina at 9.00 and the winner is expected to arrive back at the Marina about three hours later.
