Sussex's Alice Howie continued her excellent season winning her first international competition.
Following on from her success in the Sussex team at the ESSA Champs in Birmingham, the Under 17 Worthing Harriers hammer thrower was selected to represent England in the SIAB International Track & Field Competition at Grangemouth on July 15.
With another strong throw of 57.10m. the young talent took gold.
The SIAB Champs features high standards from the athletes from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
Sussex was also delighted to have a second athlete medal. Brighton and Hove's Dylan Calvey was second in the Under 17 high jump with a brilliant leap of 1.90.
