A week after she flew into the All-Time under-13 record books as number two for javelin with 39.57m, Brighton's Dulcie Yelling resolutely took over the top spot with a massive 4.5m improvement.
In the YDL fixture at Southampton, on a day when gales thwarted most athletes hopes of good times, jumps and long throws, Dulcie threw a magnificent 44.02m into the wind to secure her place at the top of the all-time list.
All three of her throws were over 40m and the multi-talented athlete, also won the shot and the 1200m for her team. Dulcie now has her sights set on the European and World age-12 record of 49.84m.
A full write up of the YDL results will appear when they are published.
