Archie Davis (Brighton Phoenix) was squeezed out of the medals in the 1500m after a brilliant run at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa early this morning.
In a straight final the two World leaders and strong favourites from Kenya were clear gold and silver winners with Kumari Taki and Lawi Kosegi clocked 3:39.80s and 3:40.77s respectively more than half the straight clear.
In what was virtually a separate race for the bronze medal the Australian, Brodie Modini, eased out the two British runners in 3:55.38s with Davis almost dead heating in 3:55.42s and Markin Lonsdale (Crook) placing fifth in 3:55.50s.
