The South of England Inter-county cross-country championships will be held at Horspath, Oxford on Saturday in conjunction with the Masters cross country championships and Sussex will be well represented in most events.
The senior and U20 teams are looking a little thin and the seniors are not expecting to repeat their second team placing of last year.
The younger squads are virtually at full strength and Bethany Cook will be aiming to retain the U15 girl’s title that she won last season while in the U13 girls race Eleanor Strevens and Dulcie Yelling look capable of top ten placings
Miles Waterworth is likely to lead the Sussex challenge in the U13 Boy’s race with Louis Goodwin breathing down his neck and it will be interesting to see just how well they fare against what is very tough opposition.
Another potential Top Ten athlete is George Pool who will be racing in the Boys u17 group.
Sussex individuals racing in the Master’s events have not been confirmed as we go to press.
