The Crawley AC Sportshall boys and girls teams (U11, U13 and U15 athletes) both won the final fixtures in this seasons Sussex Sportshall League (Horsham) to take the overall team titles.
Throughout the four league matches it was unclear whether Crawley or Brighton boys would triumph, with just a few points separating them in each match, but a dip in the third fixture from Brighton gave Crawley the momentum they needed to all but guarantee the title. In the girls event Horsham had won the last fixture but Crawley hung on with 230.5 points to 227.5 to take the fourth fixture and the overall win.
Two league records fell on Sunday and another was equalled. Horsham Blue Star's talented all rounder Seb Wallace broke the Under 13 boys Standing Triple Jump and Vertical Jump records with 7.51m and 67cms. respectively. Meanwhile Brighton and Hove sprinter Ruby Anning equalled the year old county Speed Bounce record of 85, which she now shares with her club mate Roxy Jones.
