The Sussex Track and Field championships swallows up the weekend with non-stop action taking place the K2 Leisure Centre from 11.00 on both Saturday and Sunday through to 5.00 on both days.
With the World Championships at Beijing plus the World Youth, European Junior and Commonwealth Youth championships all being held this season and the Universities still in full swing many of the leading County athletes will be giving the Championships a miss this year.
The young athlete’s events however will produce some sparkling performances as many youngsters will still be chasing the English Schools standards and it is in these events where we are likely to see the best battles.
