The South of England Road Relay Championships moves to a new venue on Sunday when they set up their stall at Bedford Autodrome.
For the past quarter of a century this event has been a two day affair at the Rushmoor Arena Aldershot involving all age group and both sexes but this year they will all be held on one day.
It is a 10.45 start for the first event and the final races are due to start at 2.30.
For much of the day there will be two races going on at the same time and it will be interesting to see just how, what used to be two full day’s racing, are condensed into one day.
There are certain to be teething problems so we should not expect full results to be available on the day.
These races will clash with the “Barns Green Half-marathon” which this year incorporates the Sussex Championship, which will no doubt affect the senior Sussex entries for the South of England Road Relays.
The start will be at 10.00 and there will also be 10k race starting soon after.
