We regret to announce the death of Charles (Charlie) Fogg a top race walker, well-respected hammer throwing coach at both Worthing and Horsham and website constructor.
Charlie, as he was known in his race walking days with the Met Police and Enfield Club, was one of the leading British race walkers in the late fifties through to the seventies including gaining International vests.
He was a top Walking Coach involving working with several of the top British walkers.
This was prior to moving into Sussex where he got involved in coaching, throwing events particularly the hammer.
His coaching was centred very much in the Worthing area where he developed several talented hammer throwers and he helped train several coaches in the area as well athletes.
Since moving to the Broadbridge Heath area he has also done weekly coaching sessions in the Horsham area.
It was however as Charles that he developed the first and highly successful Sussex County website which celebrated its tenth anniversary this year.
