CBP For Eisnor At Combined Events

11 September, 2019 By Kate Matthews

The final County Championships for the 2019 track and field season were held last weekend with the Combined Events at the Sutton Arena.

Entry numbers were again down this year for the two day competition, which is held in conjunction with the Surrey Champs.

Crawley’s Elliot Hanslow finished a fine season winning the Under 13 boys contest with 1558, while in the same age group Dulcie Yelling (Brighton and Hove) took the girls gold with an impressive 2230 points, 349, higher than the winning score in 2018.

Will Sutton (Craw) achieved PBs in two of his five events (5.23m in the long jump and 10.81m shot put) when winning the Under 15 boys group with 2222 points.

Rachel Tyler (East Grinstead) bettered her 5th place (1992 points) of last year to win the Under 15 girls with 2376 points. It was a double family celebration as sibling Rebekah took top spot in the  Under 17 women.

The highlight of the weekend was a new CBP in the senior men’s decathlon. Eastbourne’s Bradley Eisnor’s completed the 10 events with an impressive 6680 points.
