Athletics returns to Sussex on Sunday after a break of a couple of weeks when the “Brooks” Brighton & Hove City 10km takes place.
The race starts in Madeira Drive at 9.30.
The work on the i360 will force the runners off the pavement on onto the A259 and this year, in order to clear the west end of the course as early as possible, the 3,000 plus runners, instead of doing a loop from the Madeira Drive to Black Rock first the runners will race west to the turn near King Alfred and will do the Black Rock loop at the end of the race.
Full details of entries are not to hand but it is known Kevin Rojas (Brighton and Hove), who was third last year is in Mexico and Neil Boniface (Horsham Joggers) who was fifth is injured so the way would appear clear for Jon Pepper (Phoenix), runner up last year, a comfortable run for Sussex honours and maybe even the title, which he missed by just seven seconds last year.
