It looks like being a rough time for the runners and officials for Sunday’s Brighton 10k road race.
Rain is not unusual for Cross-country and road runners but the runners on Sunday will be battered by high winds along the promenade.
These competitors are hardy athletes and will not be dissuaded from lining up on Madeira Drive at 9.00 to do battle with a couple of thousand other athletes.
As usual it is a quality field but the conditions are likely to prevent all but a few athletes cracking the thirty minute barrier.
