The first tranche of the Great Britain junior team for the European Championships at Eskilstuna, Sweden next month and been announced with Hastings athlete Grace Baker the only Sussex athlete in this first batch.
Baker has been selected for the 5,000 metres where she recently placed second in the Trials race at Manchester.
Clocking 16:19.66s Baker lifted herself to sixth place on the Sussex All Time list and nationally she now places 20th, just one place behind Paula Radcliffe.
Further selections will be announced on 7th July, just ten days before the championships.
