Steyning Olympian, Ian Richards, has taken almost 20 seconds off the M70 world 3000m race walk record.
Competing at the World Masters Indoor Championships in Poland his time of 15:19.64 gave Richards a 50-second victory over Italy’s Ettorino Formentin.
This achievement made up for his disqualification in the recent British Championships.
