Sussex AA is deeply saddened to announce the death of Angela Brinkhurst.
Angela was a valued member of Lewes AC, not only as a club and committee member but also for being instrumental in the success of the Junior Academy and coaching hundreds of young athletes over more than two decades.
She led the club's junior sprint group, organised summer camps, and inspired many juniors to become assistant coaches.
She was also hugely involved in the county as an official and starter.
Angela passed away peacefully after a brave battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family at St Peter’s Hospice in Chailey.
