A Trio Of Medals At The SEAA Cross Country Relays

26 October, 2023 By Kate Matthews

Eastbourne Rovers celebrated a fantastic day at the SEAA Cross Country Relays at Wormwood Scrubs at the weekend.

The club's Under 15 girls team, made up of Freda Pearce, Raya Petrova and Daisy Connor, scooped silver whilst the Under 13 boys (Joshua Webster, Archie Franklin and Byron Roberts) bronze. The club's Under 15 boys also placed a respectable 7th out of 39 teams.

HY Runners Under 13 girls also came home with a medal - placing 3rd - with Isabella Buchanan's 7:06.40 first leg lap the fastest in the whole race. Kitty Morgan ran second with Antalia Cole on the third leg.

It was a near miss for the Crawley Under 17 women in 4th place. Stephanie Shaw (11:01.35) ran the 3rd fastest leg overall. Crawley Under 17 Women's B team were 15th.

Brighton & Hove Under 17 men were the only other Sussex club to send a team placing 6th overall.
