Congratulations to Crawley AC's Success Osimwegie, who came a fantastic 5th at the Sportshall UK Under 15 Girls Finals. Success earned her individual spot after winning the South East regional title in February.
On Sunday, the top 37 Sportshall athletes battled for honours at the prestigious event held down South for the first time in Essex. Competing against some of the most versatile young athletes in the UK, Success was 2nd in the Vertical Jump (60cms), 4th in the 2-lap race and 6th in the Shot Put. Her outstanding all-round performance led to her top 5 finish.
The seven-strong* Sussex under 15 Girls Sportshall team also qualified for the final as the UK's highest-scoring second-placed team from the regional events. However, sadly we could not field a team due to the late call-up and Easter holiday commitments.
