Brighton and Hove under-20 Tomer Tarragano missed out on an individual medal by seconds, finishing fourth in his debut run for England at the Home Countries International in Stirling.
It was a tough race with wind and heavy rain churning up the course. Tarragano was the third English runner home, just nine seconds behind his victorious teammate Thomas Keen.
With three athletes in the top four, England won the under-20 team competition.
