Horsham Blue Star proved the most successful of the Sussex teams in last weekend’s Upper Age Group matches in the National Youth Development League.
Competing in North West two at Gillingham, the Horsham team finished second to the home team Medway, scoring 467 points to the winners 548 points, but they were well clear of third placed Bexley.
Both Crawley and Team Sussex, the combined East Grinstead/Haywards Heath/ Lewes team, finished fourth in their matches in Premier 2 at Harrow and 1a South West at Southampton, where Brighton & Hove struggled to finish sixth of the seven teams.
Chichester club finished seventh in their SW2 match at Uxbridge.
