There is something for everyone, well almost, this weekend.
On the championships scene the U15 and U17s head to Ashford for the South of England championships which are being held on both Saturday and Sunday and there are high hopes of numerous Sussex medals to be harvested.
On Saturday the last round of the Southern Athletics League will be held at various venues across the South of England.
In Division One Crawley are aiming to keep the League title in Sussex at Bromley and they are currently leading the division.
In the same Division, Brighton & Hove, the reigning championships, who have had a difficult season, travel to Basingstoke and they are 12th in the League of 16 teams so they need a pretty good result to make certain they remain in the Division as four teams are relegated and it is the home team who are just one league point below the Brighton squad.
In Division Two East Eastbourne, who are 11th, travel to Erith and should be safe for another year but in Division Two West at Andover Worthing, in 15th place, are vulnerable, as like Division One the bottom four teams drop into Division Three.
Of all the nine Sussex clubs in action only Hasting look like gaining promotion. They compete at Kingsmeadow in Division Three SW and are lying second in the table.
In the same Division but at different venues the combined Haywards Heath/Lewes team, who are 12th and Chichester 20th compete at Aldershot while East Grinstead, who are 11th, are at Bournemouth and Horsham Blue Star, who are seventh, have a home match at Broadbridge Heath.
