The Sussex 10,000m track championship has been resurrected after a gap of at least a decade and will be held this coming Wednesday (13th) at the Withdean Stadium within the Brighton & Hove City Open meeting.
The recent increase in support of road racing could see a massive entry but because of the technicalities of kepping track of people running 25 laps the field is being limited to 30 runners and a time limit has had to be set.
Entries are only open to those men capable of completing the distance in 37 minutes or 43 minutes for women.
The South of England Championships will also be incorporated into the event.
The races will start at 8.20 at the end of the “Open” meeting, which incorporates the annual Brighton & Hove City under 13 Minithon Challenge and a 100m wheelchair race, with the first event timed for 6.00pm.
