Great Battles for Sussex Schools Cross-country titles

Twelve months back the almost certain winner of the Sussex Schools Inter (U17) boys cross-country championship was sent off course and he finished up with the bronze, instead of a gold, medal

On Wednesday at the Waterhall course in Brighton Thomas Eames (BHASVIC) now in the senior age group put everything to right as he proved a convincing winner of the Senior (U19) title in his first attempt in 24:26s, his third impressive victory on ten days.

Golds for Eames and Jerges at SEAA Champs

There was a clutch of medals, including two golds, for Sussex at the South of England Indoor championships at Lee Valley over the weekend. Primarily it was the Under 15 and Under 17 championships but the Senior and U20 1500 metres events were incorporated to reduce the time at next weekend’s senior and U20 championships at the same venue.
